Friday Favorites!

It's Friday! That means it's time to link up with AndreaErika, and Narci!

ONE
I've been catching up with the kids in my neighborhood this week and hearing about their first week of school. Did you know there are tablets in classrooms now? Or that cell phones are encouraged as calculators? You know what we had in school? Oregon Trail IF we were lucky. But all joking aside, hearing all about their first week was one of my favorite moments this week!

TWO
IT'S CHORE SEASON haha! I am always all about enforcing chores at the beginning of a school year. We will see how long it lasts. I also took a "break" from paying for housekeeping over the summer, because I knew it would all be a waste between sand, dirt, and tons of neighborhood kids in and out of our home, so we get back to our normal swing of things this week and I am loving the CLEAN. I grabbed this kid friendly vacuum for SEVENTEEN DOLLARS at WalMart last week and they're actually fighting over who gets to use it. My daughter also thanked me for buying sponges in her favorite colors HAHA! I LOVE CHORES!

THREE
Speaking of routines, I went ahead and hired help from a sweet college student who I just adore. She comes over once a week for a couple hours so I can do grocery shopping, errand running, etc. Seriously, with homeschooling and having my kids 24/7, I rarely want to run to three different stores when I'm out shopping, so this makes my life much easier. I almost think I am SAVING money because I shop "too fast" when they're with me. Case in point: look at these deals! I also got an extra 20% off of those prices. We're heading to the mountains soon (provided we don't get slammed by a hurricane) and the kids and I needed a few things before we leave. Shoes for $5? I'll take 'em!

FOUR
Nursing this boy for the last two years has been one of my favorite experiences of motherhood thus far, but I seriously need help weaning him! Please! Someone give me advice! My other two were DONE well before two. This one is emotionally attached and I think I may go cuckoo. Or my back may just break. Another stiff neck from nursing will do me in. Although I will miss those boots in my lap!

FIVE
Last but not least, my kids blew through these. If you're looking for a good fall recipe, check this out:

Have a great weekend! Is it seriously almost September?
