Friday Favorites!

It's FRIDAY! We made it, everyone!

This is my first "Friday Favorites" post, but my list is filled with enough "favs" to last through the summer, so Lord knows it wont be my last! To link up, check out one of these blogs:

Here we go, in no particular order:

First and foremost - today is Good Friday. Easter is my favorite day of the year. I love celebrating the fact that Jesus conquered sin just so that we could allow him to live through us. But today is always the hardest day of the year for me. It is so humbling to know that the cross should have been mine. And it is so beautiful that he loves me so much that he would willingly bear it. I am so overwhelmed by his mercy that I could honestly sit and cry all day - last year I actually did. So if you see me today and I am a little puffy, you know what's up!

Anyone who knows me at ALL knows that Gymboree has been my favorite place since my baby girl was born six years ago. LOVE it. So it's no surprise that each March I head nowhere else but there for my kids' swimwear. Here's the deal - we live in Florida. It is hot, and the sun is a beast. We go to the beach at least twice a week from April - October, and we are in our swimming pool six days a week (one day it gets cleaned/chemicals added so we skip that day). Swimsuits just don't seem to be built for that type of wear, but Gymboree is a different story! If they can still squeeze into them, their suits could easily last two Florida summers. If that's not enough, their suits are super BRIGHT which is exactly what I need to keep a close eye on three kids, six and under. They are currently having a huge swim sale, so head on over if you're still looking! Here's what I stocked up on this year. The boys have matching suits:

Speaking of the beach - sunblock is a daily wear thing around these parts. We put it on in the morning whether we are going to the pool or the grocery store. Skin cancer runs strong in my husband's family, he has actually already had a cancerous spot removed. Because we wear it every day, I wanted to make sure that we were keeping all of those crazy additives out, as well, or we are just exchanging one danger for another.  check it out here: Vanicream Sunscreen, Sensitive Skin, SPF 30, 4-Ounce,

People, I LOVE Matilda Jane. Their new spring line was just released this week, and I saw this dress and realized in that very moment that I was actually going to probably die. Love love love. I just wish their shipping was faster!

This song has been my jam all month long. I told my daughter that she needs to marry a man who sings songs like this to her! I am a big 'ol Kip Moore fan, mostly because his songs are perfect for running to, specifically his song "Reckless", although, it's not for little ears. It's my "bad mommy" music, but hey, I run super fast when it's playing! Anyway, my hubby and I saw him when we saw Tim McGraw last summer and he sang this song. Bless his heart for coming up with it.

Last but not least - this! I looked back in at a red light and saw this. J was a little embarassed that I caught him, but little bro was all smiles. If I could bottle up their love and affection to keep with me when I'm old and grey, I totally would. Plus we were headed to Target, so we were all a little extra love-filled!
A barely two year age difference between my three kids drives me crazy and keeps me sane all at the same time. I love their love!

  2. Easter and Christmas are definitely two of my favorite holidays because honestly considering all that Jesus did and continues to do for us, I don't think we celebrate him nearly enough! And I love it when I capture moments of my two being kind and showing love to each other, especially since they tend to do more bumping of heads now days.

  4. Totally love each one of your five! Gymboree is my favorite because the clothes do not make your little girl look like a hoochie mama (yeah I said that)! Thanks for sharing about that sunscreen, I hadn't heard of it and I'm a fraidy cat over harmful UV rays (my mom's side has had skin cancer run through it!). Your babies are beautiful, such a sweet showering of grace! xoxox Happy weekend Amanda @ ABW
